72% of couples read reviews to help decide which wedding vendors to work with and pros with reviews receive more than double the leads of those who have none.
So let’s look at how to request reviews for your Storefront on WeddingWire to ensure you’re fully taking advantage of such a powerful branding tool.
- Once you log in to your account at weddingpro.com, select the “Reviews” tab at the top of your account screen
- From here you’ll see a couple of options on the left side menu – select “Reviews Collector”. There’s two ways to get more reviews from this page.
- The first is to request reviews using the form provided. Just fill in your client’s information, personalize the pre-populated message, and then hit send. The email will look like it’s coming from you, with your vendor name in the “from” field, with a button that takes them right to an easy to use review form for your business. You can select to send a copy of this email to yourself as well, so you can confirm it went through. We require a valid email address to verify every review.
- The second way to request reviews is to grab the unique link you’ll see on this page and send it to your past clients. You can email it or text it and once they click on it, your clients will go directly to your review form. We require a valid email address to verify every review.
We recommend following up with your clients a few days after asking for a review to personally check in, confirm they received the request, and let them know how much it would mean to you and your brand. Once they do leave a review, respond to each one so potential clients can see that you care and get a sense for your personality.
Once you have a few reviews, you can come back here and select the “Reviews” tab to track progress, respond to each review, and choose which review you’d like to highlight at the top of your reviews section on your Storefront.
Then go to the “Reviews Widget” tab and add your reviews to your website for added exposure by copying the HTML code to your own site.
If you also have a Storefront on The Knot, make sure your reviews content is different on each site (this helps with SEO). For example, you could ask the same couple to review you on both sites, but ask them to review different aspects of your services for each to keep it a little different. Or, ask different couples for reviews on each site.
